The Organizing Committee of the Manila Broadcasting Company in conjunction with the Philippine Dragon Boat Federation (PDBF) cordially invite Dragon Boat Teams to participate in the 2010 MBC Summer Sea Sports, which will be held on March 21, 2010 at the Baywalk, Manila Bay, Roxas Blvd., Manila.
COMPETITION REGULATIONS AND RACING RULES
The 2010 MBC Summer Sea Sports will be conducted under the PDBF Rules of Racing. All participating crews are required to email a completed Confirmation of Participation Form by no later than 4pm on 10th March 2010, Wednesday to: macristina.o@gmail.com
COMPETITION CLASSES AND DISTANCES
The Racing Classes that will be contested are listed below provided sufficient entries are received in each competition class. A minimum of 4 Entries from different Club Teams are required for the Open, Women and Mixed.
- Open 300m
- Women 300m
- Mixed 300m
Open (20 crews) – 14 paddlers, 1 drummer, 1 steersman, 4 reserves
Women (16 crews) – 10 paddlers, 1 drummer, 1 steersman, 4 reserves
Mixed (22 crews) – 16 paddlers, 1 drummer, 1 steersman, 4 reserves
Note: 10 male paddlers & 6 female paddlers for Mixed.
REGISTRATION FEE / METHODS OF PAYMENT
There will be a one time fee of Php100.00/participant.

Note: A maximum of 2 Representatives per Team shall be allowed to attend the Meeting.
March 16 (Tue):
Posting of Draw Results and Race Programme
March 20 (Sat) – 7 am onwards:
Opening Ceremony
- Eye Dotting Ceremony
Note: The Opening/Eye Dotting ceremony will take place on the morning of 20 March 2010, Saturday. 8 Team Crews will be asked to participate and will be discussed at the Team Managers Meeting.
March 21 (Sun) – 7am onwards:
RACE DAY
Awarding / Closing Ceremony
PDBF IDs
The No ID, No Loading policy will be strictly implemented.
Competitors with no PDBF ID (Membership or Temp ID) to present at the Loading Control will not be allowed to load and race.
